JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Development Engineering Manager is responsible for the initiation, development, design, testing, documenting and release of new valve products for the company

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Works closely with Sales/Marketing in evaluating new product ideas and developing technical specifications. Assists in preparation of project proposals for management.
2. Responsible for assigned new product development projects. Manages projects from initial design to product introduction. Works in a global new product design team environment to complete project on schedule and to specifications
3. Creates innovative designs that satisfy customer needs and provides unique benefits. Design new components and products in accordance with sound engineering principles, customer specifications, ASME requirements and industrial standards.
4. Develops the Engineering database as required to accomplish the above activities. Creates drawings, procedures and bills of materials for new products.
5. Works with supplier management and quality assurance groups to identify and qualify new vendors as required for unique and new processes. Assists suppliers in understanding product requirements.
6. Builds prototypes and conducts product performance tests for evaluation and compliance to specifications and standards.
7. Works closely with the manufacturing engineer to optimize manufacturing methods and productivity and meet established cost targets without compromising product design requirement or performance. Assures that production, assembly and test equipment and procedures are satisfying design performance requirements.
8. May perform other special projects or duties as required.

REQUIREMENT:

1. Bachelor\'s Degree or above in Mechanical related discipline. Processing Unit and Control Engineering or Thermal and Power Engineering is preferred.
2. 3-5 years working experience with mechanical engineering design, at least 2 years with release valve design and familiar with ASME ASTM,API code and Chinese valve code.
3. Good written and verbal English communication skill and presentation skill
4. Familiar with Auto CAD, Inventor or other 3D Engineering software.
5. Ability to communicate ideas and information clearly, effectively and frequently with oral and written
6. Familiar with project management terms and concepts,demonstrate ability to work multiple concurrent projects
